Bike to Work Week runs from May 26 to Jun 1.
It is a week to celebrate cycling as transportation. Transportation cycling includes using your bike to cycle to work, shool, shop or visit with friends so you can be retired and still join this event.
Any time you use your bike instead of your car, it counts. So please sign up and join the festivities.
The statistics from this event will help improve cycling and cycling infrastructure in the Comox Valley.
Bike to Work Week kickoff is a bike ride with (it is still a surprise!) a local politician or a few of them.
It starts at the Riverway Trail right behind the Courtenay City Hall at 8:45 am on Monday, May 26.
Part of the route will be along the Fitzgerald bike lane to give people a chance to test it out.
It will finish at Lewis Park Celebration Station.
Stop for refreshments and celebrate the start of Bike to Work Week.
