Old Ride Right

The Ride Right course will set the foundation for your riding experience. You will learn about safety, techniques, and the rules of the road. There are three portions to the course. The first is the Classroom session where you will gain the knowledge. Second is to complete the Quiz. Finally, the third is the Practical session where you will put that knowledge to work and gain the skills to be a safe and competent rider.

Ebike Safe Cycling Course

Time: 10:00 to 12:00
Description: This course combines online instruction, parking lot, and on-road training to get you comfortable on your bike and build traffic cycling proficiency. Learn the rules of the road and traffic safety as it applies to cyclists. Instructors will discuss the various types of cycling routes and infrastructure in the Comox Valley and how to plan a safe and comfortable route. Practice bike handling skills in a non-traffic environment. Put your knowledge and skills to work on a guided road ride through various traffic situations on local roads.
All courses are taught by trained and experienced Safe Cycling Instructors.

What to Bring: Bicycle in good working order, recommend a mirror, approved helmet, closed toed shoes, hi-vis vest or visible clothing, appropriate clothing for the weather and water.

Upon completion of steps 1 to 4 below, you will receive an email confirming your spot with details of your course and starting location. The class is limited to 12 people maximum

After you have watched the Classroom Session videos, Register for the Quiz

Step 3:

Take the Quiz

Completing the Quiz is a prerequisite to registering for the Practical Session

Step 4:

Register for Practical Session

Select the second option “Practical Session” to register.
