Working with all levels of government to make cycling safer and more accessible

The Comox Valley Cycling Coalition

Objectives and Activities

Promote the integration of cycling into the local and regional transportation network

Promote cycling education for children and adults and cycling safety and awareness

Promote the integration of cycling with other non-automotive modes of transportation

The Comox Valley Cycling Coalition is a member run organization made up of more than 100 members who are passionate about the many benefits of cycling and working with all levels of government to make cycling safer and more accessible.

Our aim is to create a safe environment for cycling in the Comox Valley and encourage cycling as an effective, economical, healthy and environmentally friendly mode of transportation. We work closely with the local and provincial jurisdictions to promote the integration of cycling in our communities so that it is an accessible mode of transportation for everyone.

We focus on education opportunities, working with schools and community groups throughout the year. Every year we offer Cycle Skills workshops for both children and adults to teach them the rights and responsibilities of being a cyclist on the road. We also participate in major cycling events in the area and work closely with municipalities throughout the year advocating on how cycling conditions can improve in the Comox Valley. If you are interested in getting involved, become a member today.
