In May 2017, the Comox Valley Cycling Coalition (CVCCo) began its production of cycling stories with Shaw Community TV. We now have a collection of video stories about riding a bike in the Comox Valley. We would like to thank Franco Noviello, our Shaw Community Access Producer, for mentoring Sue Vince, a member of the CVCCo, on her journey as a volunteer Shaw Community Producer. Her CVCCo stories join other Community Producers’ stories aired on Shaw TV.
The CVCCo Cycling Stories
The content of the Comox Valley Cycling Coalition videos is meant to be enjoyable and informative. For instance, if you wondered about our cycling education program, you can watch the short video that captured our fun-filled day at the Ecole Robb Road Bike Rodeo.
You will likely recognize the people in the various videos as they live in our region. The content is presented from their unique point of view.
As a Shaw Community Producer, Sue says the best part of the project so far has been meeting up and talking with people that ride a bike. She feels creating the videos is a fun way to share people’s passion for cycling.
The Shaw TV Cycling Stories are also an important way for the CVCCo to communicate to our membership and the general public, our local cycling issues and events. We have enjoyed the ride so far and thank all the people that have helped us with this project.
